OFW Returning To Philippines Guidelines

Welcome as provide this process on the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) Returning To Philippines Guidelines for all OFW travelers. All returning OFW are required to undergo the mandatory measures and requirements from the Philippines Government. Effective 4 October 2022, the new entry, testing, and quarantine protocols for returning Filipinos IATF-Resolution-No.-2.

5 Steps for OFW Returning To Philippines Guidelines

A. Prior To Departure

1. Three (3) days or 72 hours before departure, OFW travelers will need to register an account at the Bureau of Quarantine’s eTravel QR Card (OHP) online registration portal. Once registered, save the transaction number generated by the system, also this number will be sent through to your registered e-mail address.

2. Save or print the copy of the OHP QR code generated, which is required to show during the flight check-in process.

Starting 4 October 2022, all inbound travelers to the Philippines will be exempted from the Pre-Departure Test (RT-PCR/ART) if fully vaccinated or individuals fall into the below criteria.

  • Individuals aged 15 years old and above who received 2nd dose in a 2-dose series or 1-dose in a single dose series more than 14 days before arrival to Philippines
  • Individuals aged below 15 years old with accompanied parents/guardian who received 2nd dose in a 2-dose series or 1-dose in a single dose series more than 14 days before arrival to Philippines

4. Register account and secure a copy of OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate).

B. PRE-BOARDING PROCESS

During counter check-in at the airport terminal, present all the necessary documents;
A. Valid one-way or two-way plane ticket
B. Passport with at least 6 months validity
C. Vaccination Certificate
D. One Health Pass – Registered QR Code

C. IN FLIGHT PROCESS

OFW Returning To Philippines In Flight Process

OFW travelers will need to accomplish the Bureau of Customs Form, provided by the flight attendant. Wearing of mask inside the aircraft is still required except for eating or drinking.

D. Upon Arrival On The Philippines

Upon arrival at Philippine airport terminal, present all the necessary documents;

  • Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
  • One Health Pass – Registered QR Code

E. PROCEED TO IMMIGRATION AND CLEAR BAGGAGE

After you are cleared from the BOQ officers, proceed to clear immigration and clear baggage. Submit copy of Bureau Of Customs (Declaration) before exit from the terminal.

OFW travelers and international foreign individuals arriving in the Philippines who are vaccinated, not vaccinated partially vaccinated shall undergo the below protocols effective 4 October 2022 based on the latest guidelines from IATF-Resolution-No.-2.

UNVACCINATED OR PARTIALLY VACCINATED INTERNATIONAL PASSENGERS

  • Negative laboratory-based Antigen test taken (ART) within 24 hours.
  • Individuals who fail to show ART results must undergo an ART Covid-19 Test at the terminal administered by health professionals

UNVACCINATED MINOR FILIPINO NATIONALS

  • Minor Filipino nationals below fifteen (15years old, shall follow the quarantine protocols of the accompanying parent or guardian during travel.
  • Unaccompanied minors below fifteen (15years old are required to take show Negative ART within 24 hours or on-arrival ART Covid-19 if fail to perform ART before departure.

INDIVIDUALS TESTED POSTIVE  (COVID-19 ART TEST)

  • Any OFW individuals who tested positive during the Covid-19 ART shall undergo the government of Health (DOH) quarantine and isolation procedure.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • All passengers are required to wear a face mask.
  • Temperature screening, use of foot bath, and disinfection facilities are to be observed.
