WHERE IS RIFFLE RANGE NATURE PARK

Located along the Riffle Range Road and across Upper Bukit Timah Road, this  nature Park is also right beside the slopes of Bukit Timah Nature Park and the picturesque quarry of Hindhede Park.

HOW TO GO RIFFLE RANGE NATURE PARK

Linked Bridge To Riffle Range Park

Getting to Riffle Range Park can be accessed through Beauty World MRT Station (Downtown Line). Head to Beauty World Food Centre (Level 4), and walked straight to the link bridge that connects directly to the nature park. Alternatively, visitors can take bus no. 184, 852, and 961, and alight at the bus stop opposite Beauty World Center and walk down to the entrance of the park. The nature park is open daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

#1 COLUGO DECK

The main attraction of this nature park is the Colugo Deck located on the top of the quarry. From here visitors can witness the impressive view of the lush greenery of the forest, wetland, and skyscraper buildings seen from afar. To reach the Colugo Deck must pass the stones/rocks, along the Colugo trail which leads to the view deck.

#2 QUARRY WETLAND

Quarry Wetlands At Riffle Range Park

Quarry Wetland is also one of the most check-in places in the nature park. Formerly known as the Sin Seng Quarry, which covers about 3 hectares of space and is 55 meters deep. It was known to be the deepest quarry in Singapore, but due to environmental concerns, the quarry was close and in time turn into a natural freshwater wetland.

#3 FOREST EXPLORATION TRAIL

The nature park has designed a play-area intended for children to take the challenge. Forest Exploration Trail has a series of logs and boulders where children can climb on this platform. The trail is located on side of the Gliders Boardwalk before heading to the Quarry Wetland.

#4 WATERHEN HIDE

Waterhen Hide At Riffle Range Park

Visitors to the nature park can head over to Waterhen Hide and observe up-close to the different species of wetland birds. The hide has a seat where one can patiently wait for the birds to appear on the wetland.

#5 BANYAN TREES AND TRAILS

A visit to the Riffle Range Park is not complete without checking on the Banyan Trees. Visitors will need to hike along the Banyan Trails that lead them to the serene beauty of Banyan trees and freshwater streams passing-by.

Amenities such as toilets and a water filling station are available at the park’s Visitors Pavillion. In addition, air-pressure devices and brushes are available to help get rid of the specks of dirt on the shoes.

Exploring the newly open nature park of Singapore – Riffle Range Nature Park is indeed a great way to be with nature. The trails are not that long which makes it manageable and ideal for family and friends to hike. One can cover nature within 45 minutes and for some hiking enthusiasts, one can go further to Central Catchment Nature Reserve MacRitchie which is just around a 2km walk. Overall, Riffle Range Park provides a complete hiking adventure covering different points of interest while catching the refreshing breeze of the atmosphere.
