Welcome as we discover Hindhede Nature Park’s crystal clear turquoise pool of water that surrounds the high cliff walls situated at foot of Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. The park offers visitors who want to have a more relaxed environment and quiet escape. Hindhede park is more ideal for young children and even the elderly who are not up to climb the hill. Although it is a small park, visitors can still explore around the park together with the kids playing on the children’s playground. The park’s quarry is the main attraction which can be found at the end of the trail but it is no longer in operation. Come visit Hindhede Nature Park and together witness this preserve nature’s wonder.

WHERE IS HINDHEDE NATURE PARK

Hindhede Nature Park is located at Upper Bukit Timah Road, the park is right beside the visitor information center of Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. The park is open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily.

How To Go Hindhede Nature Park

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

1. The nearest train station to the park is via Beauty World MRT Station, which is along the Downtown Line. Alight the Beauty World station and take Exit A, then walk for about 10 minutes to reach the main entrance of the park.

2. There are many public buses that stop along Upper Bukit Timah Road and Jalan Anak Bukit.

TAXI/PRIVATE CAR

Inform the taxi driver that you are heading to Hindhede Nature Park, which is located at Upper Bukit Timah Road. Carpark is limited and quite occupied during weekends, the nearest car park will at Dairy Farm Nature Park.

History Of Hindhede Nature Park

Hindhede Quarry operation was ceased in 1990 and was transformed into nature park in 2001. The nature park offers unique view of the quarry of pool from the lookout point.

Hindhede Nature Park is a quite small park but there is a children’s playground, picnic area, and adventure play area .On top of that, the highlight of this park is the Hindhede Quarry. While exploring the park, there is information on the flora and fauna which can be seen along the way. While walking in the park, animals such as monkeys, monitor lizards, and squirrels can be seen.

1. DISCOVER THE QUARRY

The unique color of the turquoise water of the quarry makes it mesmerizing view for visitors. Visitors can feel the inner peace and calmness of this natural beauty. The quarry is just a 10-minute walk from the car park, where the Lookout Point is located. This viewing platform enables the visitors to see the number of fish and turtles in the lake.

There are three (3) resting places in the park where visitors can sit down and relax while enjoying the beauty of nature. There are wooden tables and chairs which serve as a good picnic place for visitors.

Hindhede Nature Park is a nice place for a leisure hike, which is highly suitable for young children and the elderly. Visitors can take a stroll on this easily walkable trail and enjoy nature’s wonder. The park comprises resting huts, a playground, a picnic area, and the Lookout Point which provides visitors to witness the Hindhede Quarry. The quarry offers the same scenery as the Singapore Quarry, Little Guilin, and Bukit Batok Nature Park but only the only difference turquoise pool of water. We recommend visiting the park in the early morning to avoid crowds and to take note that bringing pets and feeding monkeys are not allowed. Since the park is fairly small, visitors can finish 20-30 minutes to explore the park. Some visitors extend by hiking to the top of Bukit Timah Hill down to Dairy Farm Nature Park.
