Multiple Entry Visa Japan for Filipino in Singapore (Tourism/Sightseeing)

With effect on 15 October 20245 Japan Tourist eVisa Application For Filipino residing in Singapore, are now handled at the Japan Visa Application Centre (JVAC). The Visa application is valid only for Single/Multiple Entry (Tourism or Sightseeing) short-term visa which does not exceeds 90 days length of stay in Japan. All other applications like Diplomatic or Official Visas and Re-entry Permit Extension will need to be submitted physically at the Embassy of Japan in Singapore.

Eligibility Criteria for Multiple Entry Visa Japan

To qualify for a Multiple Entry Visa to Japan, the following criteria generally apply:

  1. Applicants who have visited Japan for the last three (3) years and has financial capacity to fund the travel expense.
  2. Applicants who have visited G7 countries (except Japan) twice or more in the last three years
  3. Applicants with sufficient financial capacity
  4. Spouse or children of the applicants with sufficient financial capacity

Philippine nationals are required to prepare documents according to the below checklist before submitting the online application. Visa application should be submitted within three (3) months before the planned travel date. The processing period may take a longer time depending on the volume of applications received.

A. Valid Philippine Passport

Passport validity should be at least six (6) months prior to the date of your arrival in Japan.

B. Visa Application Form

Japan Visa application form is available on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan website, alternatively you can also download here. Once you have downloaded the form, fill-up all the required information, and enter N/A to information where it is not applicable.

C. Photograph

A recent color photo taken within 6 months with white background, and dimension size of 3.5cm x 4,5cm. The photo to affixed on the application form (glue only)

D. Identity card issued by Singapore Government

Front and back digital copy of identity card such as;

  • Singapore PR
  • Employment Pass,
  • S Pass,
  • Work Permit,
  • Dependent Pass or Long-Term Visit Pass.

The validity of the pass should cover the trip to Japan and return to Singapore. Individuals who are in the process of renewing work pass, please submit copy of IPA (In-principle approval) letter issued by Singapore government.

E. SG WorkPass Mobile App

Download and install the SG WorkPass Mobile app from Google Play or Apple Store. Login and take screenshot of full work pass details provided in the app. Make sure to retrieve information only within 5 days before plan your submission date.

F. Certificate Of Employement

Obtain a copy of the certificate of employment from your company within one month of application, that contain detailed information such as position, salary and date join. Here is the sample template for the certificate of employment.

G. Previous Japan Visa(s) Record

Download a copy of recent two (2) month record personal savings account showing the account holder’s name, current balance and banking transactions. Otherwise the latest year notice issued by IRAS Singapore with total yearly income information.

H. Income Tax Assessment or Bank Statement

Download a copy of recent two (2) month record personal savings account showing the account holder’s name, current balance and banking transactions. Otherwise the latest year notice issued by IRAS Singapore with total yearly income information.

II. Appointment Booking System

After completing the visa requirements/checklist, the next step is to book an appointment for visa submission. As of 15 October 2025 Submission and Collection of Visa Application are handled by VFS Global (3rd-party)

2. Login and Create Account

3. Choose The Available Schedule

Find for available date and time schedule, then select and choose to confirm appointment.

4. Pay VFS Service Fee & Submit Application

Pay the VFS Service fee of S$18.50 through online payment. After the reservation is completed, an email confirmation will be sent for appointment schedule.

III. Appointment Day

On the day of appointment, make sure appointment confirmation email about the date and time. Here is some information to help prepare on the appointment.

  1. Dress Appropriately
  2. Arrive on Time
  3.  Submit Documents
  • Documents should be in the order according to the checklist
  • All documents should be printed or photocopied on A4-sized paper
  • NO staples/pins/paper clips used on documents

Processing Time

It takes at least 10 working days to process a visa application submitted at the Embassy if there are no issues with the documents submitted.
