Wat Arun Temple, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand. It sits in the Bangkok Yai district, opposite the Grand Palace known as the former residence of the King of Thailand and Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha). The temple is open to all visitors from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Daily).

Ferry Ride To Wat Arun Temple

To reach Wat Arun Temple, here are some transportation options that each visitor can choose depending on your starting point:

I. By MRT Subway:
Take the MRT Subway to Sanam Chai station.
From Tha Tien Pier, you can take a cross-river ferry to Wat Arun, which is just across the river. At the Tha Tien pier proceed to the counter and pay 5 Thai Baht (one-way boat fare) one can witness the breathtaking structure of Bangkok
II. By Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service:
Simply instruct your taxi or ride-hailing driver to take you to Wat Arun Temple. Most drivers will be familiar with this popular tourist destination.
III. By River Express Boat from Other Piers:
You can also reach Wat Arun by taking a Chao Phraya Express Boat from other piers along the river, such as Maharaj Pier or Phra Arthit Pier, and then transferring to a cross-river ferry to Wat Arun at Tha Tien Pier.

After disembarking from the ferry, all tourist visitors are required to pay the entrance fee of 100 Thai Baht inclusive of one (1) bottle of water.
