WHERE IS PERDANA BOTANICAL GARDEN

Perdana Botanical Garden is situated Jalan Cenderawasih, Tasik Perdana, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The park is also bounded by several notable landmarks in the area including the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park, Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park, National Mosque (Masjid Negara), National Museum and Merdeka Square.

HISTORY

Perdana Botanical Garden

Perdana Botanical Garden, formerly known as Taman Tasik Perdana or Lake Gardens, was built in the late 1880s during the British colonial period in Malaysia. The garden is situated city center of Kuala Lumpur which was initially intended as a garden with a collection of tropical plants. As time passes by, the area has been rehabilitated and later turned into a Botanical Garden which opens to the public for display. Perdana Botanical Garden has become a great place to escape for family and friends away from the bustling metropolis of Kuala Lumpur.

The entrance is FREE, but visitors may find it difficult to navigate the location of the deer, along the way there are kampung chicken houses on the cage.

Located right next to Perdana Botanical Garden is the KL Bird Park, widely known as the largest open aviary in the world. The open-air concept provides the birds to freely roam around and visitors can easily interact with them.
