With effect on 11 November 2024, Japan Tourist eVisa Application For Filipino residing in Singapore, can apply through website for single entry.. The eVisa application is valid only for Single-entry (Tourism or Sightseeing) short-term visa which does not exceeds 90 days length of stay in Japan. All other applications like Multiple-entry will need to be submitted physically at the Embassy of Japan in Singapore.

What Is Japan Tourist eVisa Application

JAPAN Tourist eVISA is an application process that allows travelers to submit visa online and issue an electronic visa (eVISA) upon the entry to Japan.

Philippine nationals are required to prepare documents according to the below checklist before submitting the online application. Visa application should be submitted within three (3) months before the planned travel date. A. VALID PHILIPPINE PASSPORT

B. PHOTOGRAPH

A recent color photo taken within 6 months with white background, and dimension size of 4.5cm x 4,5cm (1.77in x 1 .77in).

C. Identity Card Issued by Singapore Government

Front and back digital copy of identity card such as Singapore PR, Employment Pass, S Pass, Work Permit, Dependent Pass or Long-Term Visit Pass. The validity of the pass should cover the trip to Japan and return to Singapore. Individuals who are in the process of renewing work pass, please submit copy of IPA (In-principle approval) letter issued by Singapore government.

D. SG WorkPass Mobile App

Download and install the SG WorkPass Mobile app from Google Play or Apple Store. Login and take screenshot of full work pass details provided in the app. Make sure to retrieve information only within 5 days before plan your submission date.

E. CERTIFICATE OF EMPLOYMENT

Obtain a copy of the certificate of employment from your company within one month of application, that contain detailed information such as position, salary and date join. Here is the sample template for the certificate of employment.

F. Income TAX ASSESSMENT OR Bank Statement

Download a copy of recent two (2) month record personal savings account showing the account holder’s name, current balance and banking transactions. Otherwise the latest year notice issued by IRAS Singapore with total yearly income information.

G. Flight Information

Flight booking or reservation issued by the travel agency or online booking should contain the passenger’s name, flight details of round trip department from and returning to Singapore (Airport, Flight Number, Date and Time)

B. Upload Facial Photo and Passport
The file format for facial photo should be JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, HEIC
with the file size maximum 2MB.
C. Submit Supporting Documents
The documents submitted in file format should be PDF, TIF, JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, HEIC, with file size of 2MB and maximum of 50 pages

Application not made: The application has not yet been submitted.
Application in progress: The application is being sent to the Japanese overseas establishment
Temporarily received: The application has reached to the Japanese overseas establishment (Not yet been processed).
Under examination: The application has been received and is being processed by the Japanese overseas establishment with jurisdiction over your place of residence.
Fee payment: Your visa is ready for issuance and your fee payment is due. (This status will be shown even though you are eligible for visa fee waiver.)
Issued: Your eVISA has been issued.

5. Visa Issuance
