IATF GUIDELINES PHILIPPINES - ALERT LEVELS

Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Philippines provides the guidelines on the list of specific region and cities that are covered with the new alert system. The new alert system is the form of granular lock-down procedure introduced by the said agency to make sure each region or city must comply. This guidelines are usually updated and covers for at least 15 days and will be re-access again depending on the condition. The below classification are from IATF Res. No. 169A  Level Classification ”I” and “II” of regions effective as of 27 June 2022 which will take effect from 1 July 2022 to 15 July 2022.

ALERT LEVEL GUIDELINES

The new Community Quarantine classification for COVID-19 Alert level systems helps to manage the transmission of disease covering specific areas of a region or city.

ALERT LEVEL IV

Alert Level IV means that a region or city COVID-19 cases are high and increasing, with the bed and intensive utilization rate are high. Areas that are placed under the Alert Level IV shall observe the below protocols:

  • Persons (below 18 and above 65 years old), pregnant women are not allowed go outside of their homes
  • Individual outdoor exercises are allowed but must only within the place of residence.
  • Outdoor dine-in services in operate at maximum of 30% capacity
  • Personal care services (barbershops, salons, nail spas) and in-person religious gatherers are allowed at 30% capacity only when conducted outdoors.
  • Government agencies will operate with at least 20% capacity

ALERT LEVEL III

Alert Level III means that a region or city COVID-19 cases are high and increasing, with the bed and intensive utilization rate are also increasing. Areas that are placed under the Alert Level III shall not be allowed to operate on the below protocols:

  • Face to face or in-person classes for basic education, except
    those previously approved by the IATF and/or the Office of the
    President
  • Contact sports, except those conducted under a bubble-type
    setup as provided for under relevant guidelines adopted by the
    IATF, Games and Amusement Board, and Philippine Sports
    Commission, and approved by the LGU where such games
    shall be held permitted industries
  • Funfairs/peryas and kid amusement industries such as
    playgrounds, playroom, and kiddie rides;
    iv. Venues with live voice or wind-instrument performers and
    audiences such as in karaoke bars, clubs, concert halls, and
    theaters
  • Casinos, horse racing, cockfighting and operation of cockpits,
    lottery and betting shops, and other gaming establishments
    except as may be authorized by the IATF or the Office of the
    President
  • Gatherings in residences with individuals not belonging to the
    same household

ALERT LEVEL I

Alert Level I means that a region or city COVID-19 transmission rates are low and decreasing, the number of cases are low but the bed and intensive utilization rate are increasing. Areas that are placed under the Alert Level I shall observe the below protocols:

  • Intrazonal and inter-zonal travel shall be allowed without regard to age and comorbidity.
  • All establishments, persons, or activities, are allowed to operate, work, or be undertaken at full on-site or venue/seating capacity provided it is consistent with minimum public health standards; provided further, that face to face classes for basic education shall be subject to prior approval of the Office of the President

ALERT LEVEL II

Alert Level II means that a region or city COVID-19 transmission rates are low and decreasing, the number of cases are low but the bed and intensive utilization rate are increasing. Areas that are placed under the Alert Level II shall observe the below protocols:

  • Government agencies will be in full operation and will implement an on-site working capacity of at least 50%.
  • Allowed capacity of 50% for all in indoor/outdoor events activities activities (tourist attractions, meetings, birthdays, conference, religious gatherings, social events, personal care services, etc)

The above IATF Philippines Guidelines applies to all individual and also to those Returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) bound to respective residences must adhere the above protocols. For everyone’s protection, individual’s are encourage to act with precaution regardless of the region or city Alert level status. Individuals must wear mask at all times and to always practice social distancing.
