South Korea Tourist Visa Application for Housewife in the Philippines is quite as simple process as long as you have provide all the necessary requirements. Short Term Visit (C-3) is the term for visa application who wish to stay below 90 days in South Korea. Here are the steps and the list of requirements to obtain the Tourist Visa.

LIST OF REQUIREMENTS – SOUTH KOREA TOURIST VISA APPLICATION FOR HOUSEWIFE IN PHILIPPINES

  1. South Korea Tourist Visa Application Form
  2. Valid Philippine Passport
  3. Passport Size Colored Photo
  4. Personal Bank Statement
  5. If Husband will sponsor trip
  6. NSO Marriage Certificate
  7. Visa’s from OECD Countries (If Applicable)

1. FILL-UP THE Visa Application Form

South Korea Visa application form is available on the Korea Visa Application Center, alternatively you can download here. Once you have downloaded the form, fill-up all the required information.

My partner will be sponsoring this travel, so I have entered all his necessary information under the Funding Details section. After you have completed all necessary information, print and sign the application form. By the way here is the sample form that I have created for South Korea tourist visa application.

2. Philippine passport

  1. Photocopy of Philippine Passport Bio-page.
  2. During the application of visa, original passport is required to submit to the travel agency.  The original passport must fall into the below criteria;
    A. Philippine Passport must have at least six (6) months validity prior to the intended departure date.
    B. Also, the Philippine passport should have at least two (2) blank pages for the purpose of the visa to be stick once approved.

3. Passport Size Colored Photo

Visit any nearest photo studio and inform that you want to obtain a South Korea visa photo. Just in case, below are are some of the requirement for the visa photo.
A. A recent color photo taken within six (6) months
B. Photo size must be 4.5cm x 4.5cm (1.77in  x 1 .77in)
C. The photo must be in full-faced, front facing with white/light background (It should be unedited and no shadow on the background)

4. Personal Bank Statement

Obtain a copy of Bank Certificate from your local Philippines banks (BPI, BDO, Security Bank etc). The bank certificate must include the Account Name, Account Number, Account Type, Current Balance, Account Opening Date, and  6 months Average Balance (ADB). For BDO accounts, Bank Certificate can only be obtain to Branch where you open your BDO account. Also take note that there will be Php100 charge upon this request.

5. Since Husband will sponsor OR COVER PART OF EXPENSES

Below are the three (3) additional requirements of visa application if your spouse will sponsor or cover the expenses on the trip.

If Husband is Employed:
I. Employment Certificate – an original copy of certificate of employment the include details such as Position, Date Hired, Compensation, Office Address, HR landline number(cell-phone number is not allowed), and HR e-mail address.
II. Photocopy of Income Tax Return (ITR) or Form 2316.

If Husband is Self-Employed:
I. A copy of Business Registration from SEC or DTI
II. Copy of Business Permit or Mayor’s Permit
III. A photocopy of Income Tax Return (ITR) or Form 2316.

Husband Bank Certificate – a copy bank certificate must include the Account Name, Account Number, Account Type, Current Balance, Account Opening Date, and  6 months Average Balance (ADB).

6. PSO Marriage Certificate

Visit to the nearest PSA (Philippine Statistics Authority) to obtain the latest copy of your Marriage Certificate. Below are the necessary requirement for the PSO certificate.
A. Marriage certificate must be taken within six (6) months upon the visa application.

Obtaining a copy of NSO Birth and Marriage certificate be usually cost at Php 340 per copy respectively. Please check here on how to obtain NSO copy for Birth Certificate.

7. Valid Visa's To OECD Member Countries (If Applicable)

In the event you have visited the above list of OECD member countries, please provide the original and photocopy of valid visa’s and arrival stamps to OECD member countries for the past 5 years.

Visa Submission

Once you have completed all the above requirements, visit to the nearest South Korea travel agency in your town and submit all documents. South Korea Visa Application in the Philippines for Housewife have various accredited travel agencies in the Philippines, located in major cities like Manila, Cebu and Davao. As of October 2023, here are the list of designated travel agencies for Korean visa.

Procedure:

  1. Prepare all the above requirements and submit to officer in-charge for assessment.
  2. Officer in charge will verify all submitted information.
  3. Once all information are correct, please prepare visa payment and processing of P1,000
  4. Officer in charge will provide the collection slip and usually it will take 5-8 working days to process the visa.
  5. Once the visa is available, the officer in-charge will notify you via text or call to collect your South Korea Visa on their office.
