SOUTH KOREA E-ARRIVAL CARD

Effective 25 February 2025, South Korea e-arrival card is implemented to all visitors arriving in South Korea. Instead of submitting the paper form at the immigration officer, e-arrival card can be submitted in advance. Visitors who are unable to complete the e-Arrival Card online, may still be able to fill out a paper form of the Arrival Card upon arrival. As per information, paper form are still available until December 2025. However, it is recommended to complete the form digitally to save time.

What is South Korea e-Arrival Card

The South Korea e-Arrival Card is an online system introduced by the South Korean government. It was initiated to help the immigration processing and reduce paper usage. Visitors will need to fill out the required information digitally before arrival, hence reducing the amount of paperwork at the airport. The system allows travelers to submit their personal, travel, and health-related information.

  • Do note that this is a separate system from the Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) which requires some nationalities to acquire visa.

Who Need to Submit

  • All foreign nationals entering the Rebuplic of Korea are required to submit e-arrival card.

When to Submit

  • Visitors can submit the online form 3 days before arrival to Korea.
  • Visitors who did not arrive within 72 hours, the online application will be invalid
  • Make sure to enter accurate information on the application, false or inaccurate information may be subject to penalties or entry restriction.

Things to Prepare

  1. Valid Passport
  2. Email Address
  3. Date of Entry and Flight Number
  4. Place of Stay
  5. Date of Departure

Steps on How to Submit

#1 Visit Official Website

#2 Agree on Terms & Condition

Take time to read through the Terms and condition and the consent to collect and use of the personal information. Once done, confirm by clicking the button on the “Agree to All” to proceed to the next step.

#3 Enter Valid Email Address

Enter a valid email address twice on the application. Do note the applicants under 14 years old, must declare the entry together with 14 years and above applicant.

#4 Upload Passport Copy

Visitors will need to upload a copy of passport with the personal information and photo. Alternatively, visitors can also enter manually the information.

#5 Enter Travel Information

Enter both travel information (Arrival and Departure) entry, which includes;

  • Means of Arrival: Air or Sea
  • Date of Entry and Flight Number
  • Means of Departure: Air or Sea
  • Date of Departure and Flight Number

#6 Input Place of Stay

Also fill-up the required information;

  • Purpose of Entry (ex. Tourism)
  • Intended of Stay Address and Contact Information
  • Occupation (ex. Office Worker)

#7 Submit Application

After successfully submitted the application, the validity of e-arrival card is  good for 72 hours.

#8 Save Application

Visitors are not required to print or carry the e-Arrival card upon entry inspection. But it is recommended to save digital copy in the event request my the immigration officer.

Final Thoughts

With the implementation of South Korea e-Arrival card system, it helps speed the immigration process upon arrival. With the online form, visitors don’t need to fill out paper forms at the airport making more convenience.
