MALAYSIA TRAVEL ADVISORY FOR TOURIST

As of 1 August 2022, Malaysia Travel Advisory For Tourists provides the easing-up of travel requirements imposed by the Malaysian government. With this latest travel advisory, all tourist travelers are allowed to enter Malaysia regardless of vaccinated or not-vaccinated. In addition, tourist visitors are also no longer required to register for the contract-tracing MySejahtera application. This means that visitors can now enjoy their stay in Malaysia as long they comply with the below list of information.

#1 PRE-DEPARTURE REQUIREMENT FOR MALAYSIA TRAVEL ADVISORY

  • Pre-Departure Covid-19 Test is no longer required.

#2 UPON ARRIVAL

  • Upon arrival, all travelers undergo a thermal screening conducted by the airport health authorities.
  • On-arrival Covid-19 Test is not required
  • All travelers are no longer required to obtain the Traveler’s Card.
  • Quarantine upon arrival is no longer required.

#3 FACE-MASK POLICY IN MALAYSIA

  • Wearing face masks in all indoor places in Malaysia is optional.
  • Inside public transport, healthcare facilities are required to wear a face mask.
  • In addition, high-risk individuals including the elderly, children, and pregnant women are urged to wear face masks.

Should any travelers to Malaysia find any symptoms must adhere to the health protocol by self-monitoring their own’s condition and visit any nearby health facility if the condition goes unwell. As of 28 September 2022, wearing of face mask must is no longer required on international flights due to the relaxation announced by the Malaysia Travel Alert.
