HOW TO RENEW PHILIPPINE PASSPORT IN SINGAPORE

Philippine passport renewal in Singapore are process in Philippine Embassy Office. As an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) here in Singapore renewal of Philippine passport can be easily process. Here we provide the 5 Easy Steps on How To Renew Philippine Passport in Singapore. All Philippine nationals can process their Philippine Passport Renewal in Singapore, which is held at the office of Philippine Embassy Singapore located on Nassim Road. Renewal of Philippine passport are advice to perform six (6) month prior to the expiry date of the passport. Philippine passport is valid to use for 5 years, but as of writing this I have received my new passport with the validity of 10 years. Since lately I have personally process to renew my passport. I have provided the below guide to follow on how I renew my Philippine passport.

sTEP 1: BOOK AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE

To book an online appointment, click here. And under ePassport Appointment click I Wish to Continue with Application. Choose your preferred available date & time on the calendar. Once you have chosen the desired DATE and TIME click the option I Wish to Continue with Application. Enter the required information like; Given Name, Surname, Email Address, Mobile Number. Date of Birth, Passport Number and Passport Expiry Date. Click Submit and an email notification will be received on the registered email address.

STEP 2: PREPARE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

A  Printed copy of the confirmation email appointment
B.  E-passport Application Form (Download here)
C.  Photocopy of your Singapore IC (Front/Back ) and bring along the original copy of Singapore IC
D.  Photocopy of Current Passport Data Page and bring along the original Philippine Passport

Additional requirements for below certain cases.

  • For applicants age 17 years and below:
    1. Personal appearance of either mother or father is required
    2. Original copy of passport of mother and father
    3. Original NSO Birth Certificate copy
    4. Original NSO Marriage Certificate of mother and father
  • For married women who declare to change marital status:
    1. Report of Marriage issued by a Philippine Embassy or consulate (if marriage was done outside of the Philippines)
    or Provide original NSO Marriage Certificate authenticated by DFA (if marriage was done in the Philippines)
  • For applicants whose current passport have expired for more than a year, provide the original NSO birth certificate with DFA authentication

STEP 3: APPOINTMENT DAY

On your appointment day, make sure to bring all the above requirements and arrive the Embassy early 30 minutes before your appointment schedule time.

On the other hand if you are alighting from Orchard MRT Station you need to take a walk for about 20 minutes to reach the embassy. Upon arrival present your printed appointed email on the reception beside the guard house. In return the receptionist will give you a queue number for your appointment.

Note:
Wearing of Sleeveless/slippers are allowed. It is advisable to wear a shirt with collar and to remove all jewelry during photo taking.

STEP 4: INSIDE THE EMBASSY

Wait for your queue number to be called and display on the Led. Once called proceed directly to Window 8 for the assessment and verification of your documents.

Once all information are verified you will be informed to enter the room for data encoding, photo taking and bio metrics. After completing this process please make sure that all information provided is all correct. Then after verifying data, proceed to the Cashier and prepare for the payment of S$102. The teller will provide you a receipt and the collection slip. Keep the collection slip as you will need it to claim your passport (Approximately 8 WEEKS after)

Note: Embassy only accepts CASH payments.  As informed the new validity of passport will be not at 10 years.

STEP 5: PASSPORT COLLECTION

Check Philippine Embassy online if your passport is ready to collect. With the new enhance government system the new passport will be available after 8 weeks.  Alternatively you can check the availability of the passport on this LINK and enter your complete name, alternatively you can contact Philippine Embassy Singapore hotline 6737 3977 or email at  to check the availability on the passport.

Once the Philippine passport is available for collection:

A. Visit Philippine Embassy of normal working hours Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (no lunch break) for the releasing of passport. 
B. Please do not forget to bring your OLD Passport (which will be cancelled and return to the owner)
C. Bring over the Consular Collection Slip issued at the passport appointment
D.  If the new passport will be claimed by representative, the following documents are required:
     1. Original signed authorization letter
     2. ID with signature from the passport owner

All unclaimed passports that are delivered for over a year will be sent back to Philippines are required to be destroyed according the Philippine Law.
