OWWA MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL IN SINGAPORE

OWWA membership renewal in Singapore applies to all Philippine nationals who are working abroad. The application and renewal procedure can be process in the office of the Philippine Embassy Singapore. Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) is one of the Philippine agencies that is in-charge of the welfare of all Filipinos. This agency has various programs and services that support the needs of all Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) and families in the Philippines. To qualify from all the services and programs each OFW will need to be a member. OWWA membership application can process at nearest Philippine Embassy. OWWA members has a validity of two (2) years from the date of application. If you change employer or move to another country the validity will continue. After 2 years once it expired, OFW must renew his/her OWWA membership to avail the agency support and services.

sTEP 1: BOOK AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE

Booking an appointment for OWWA renewal in Singapore can be process online. Below are the simple steps to follow on how to access OWWA membership appointment.

A. Book an appointment online through this link OWWA Online Appointment.
B. Select desired Date and Time of the appointment, then click Confirm
C. Once confirmed, enter Personal Information Details (First, Last, Middle Name, Mobile Number and Sex)
D. Click Schedule Event and a notification email received on the registered information.

As per OWWA Singapore information: In compliance with the stringent Circuit Breaker measures being implemented to contain the spread of COVID 19 in Singapore. POLO-OWWA Membership Application & Renewal will continue but STRICTLY BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

STEP 2: PREPARE THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

After you have book your appointment, you need to prepare the required documents which are listed below.

A. Printed copy of the OFW Information Sheet and fill-out all information.
B. Original and photocopy of Philippine Passport (Valid and must be 6 months before expiry)
C. Original and photocopy of your Singapore Work Pass IC (Work Permit, S-Pass or E-Pass)
D. Professionals and skilled workers should submit any of the following;
      1. Copy of employment contract
      2. Certificate of Employment
      3. Recent Payslip
      4. Company ID with UEN/RCB/Company Registration Number
E. For Household Service Workers a copy or proof of employer’s identity

STEP 3: APPOINTMENT DAY

On your appointment day, make sure to bring all the above-required documents. Please arrive at the Philippine Embassy 30 minutes before your appointment schedule time.

HOW TO GET THERE

A. TAXI
Inform the taxi driver that you are heading to Philippine Embassy in Nassim Road. Most of the driver in Singapore knows the location.

B. TRAIN
If you are taking public transport, the nearest train station is at Orchard MRT, Alight at Orchard station, and exit at Shaw Centre and walk towards Orchard road. Once you will pass Orchard Tower turn left at Nassim road. From here it will take around 5 minutes to reach the Embassy of the Philippines. The total distance is about 600m which you take around 15 minutes to reach the embassy.

Take Note:
Wearing of Sleeveless/slippers are not allowed. It is advisable to wear a shirt with a collar and to remove all jewelry during photo taking

STEP 4: INSIDE THE EMBASSY

Upon arrival at the Philippine Embassy. present your Singapore Work Pass ID and the copy of the printed appointed email. The reception beside the guardhouse will collect the requirements upon entering the embassy. In return, the receptionist will give you a queue number for your appointment. Wait for your queue number to be called. Once you are called proceed to Window 1A or 1B and submit all required documents. The receptionist will check and verify all the documents you submit.

Once all information are correct, prepare for payment of S$36. In exchange, the teller will provide you a receipt that shows your OWWA membership details and expiration date.

Note: Philippine Embassy only accepts CASH payments. OWWA membership is valid for two (2) years from the date of payment even if the member changed employer or job site.
