CP1 (Bukit Semput)

Bukit Semput is the first checkpoint towards Gunung Ophir trail, it is situated about 2-3 kilometers from the trailhead. This checkpoint at an altitude of approximately 600 meters above sea level which marks the first major milestone of the hike. This rest stop is good place to hydrate and take breath for most of the hikers.

CP3 (Batu Orkid)

The third checkpoint (CP3) is at Batu Orkid, with the presense of large rock formation. This section offers a great photo opportunity, especially for hikers who want to capture the unique rock formation.

Laluan KFC (Killing Fitness Corner)

One of the most challenging parts of the hike was at the KFC stage which means Killing Fitness Centre. During this part, individuals will be tested on endurance and strength climbing through ladders and ropes.

Hikers who are getting closer to the summit of Mount Ophir, will encounter sections with very steep and rocky terrain. During this part, a rope is required in climbimg to reach the other end.

View from the Summit

After taking the challenging rope and ladder climb, we reach the summit by almost 12:30 PM. Once we reach the summit of Mt Ophir, we are able to witness the 360 degrees view from the top which makes it quite amazing and comforting.

Having lunch at the summit of Gunung Ophir adds to the sense of accomplishment, providing both physical nourishment after a challenging hike. During this time, a well-deserved break and recovery while enjoying the view of the summit.

The Lagenda Trail is another route used to descend Gunung Ophir, providing a different experience compared to the Sagil Trail. The Lagenda Trail starts from a different location and is known for its scenic beauty and slightly less technical terrain, though it still offers a challenging and rewarding descent.

Sagil Waterfalls

On our way down, we heard the sound of splashing water which we head down and check. It turned up that there is a cascading view of waterfalls.
