Located around 20 minutes walk from Ubud center and 5 minutes by taking motorbike or public transport. All visitors can visit during its operating hours from 9.00 AM to 6.00 PM (Daily) with the last entrance at 5:00 PM.

ENTRANCE FEE

The entrance fee to Monkey Forest differs between weekdays and weekends., the weekdays seems to be cheaper compare to weekend. Also children 3 years old and below can enter for FREE, while children age 3 – 12 years old are considered as Children rate.

As the name suggests, monkeys are the main attraction when visiting Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. It was recorded that there are around 1,200 species of long-tailed macaques residing in the forest. The monkeys are charming and playful, visitors can buy food to feed the monkeys and also take a selfie with the monkey, which makes it a fun experience.

There are three (3) temples inside the Monkey Forest Sanctuary but entry is restricted and only allowed for worship using Balinese traditional prayers. The three temples which are strategically located within each located are the Main Temple, Holy Spring Temple, and Cremation Temple.
