Woodlands Waterfront Park is located in the northern part of Singapore, along the stretch of Admiralty Road West. The park is adjacent to the Woodlands Waterfront, Johor Straits and within walking distance to Woodlands Singapore Checkpoint.

Public Transportation

There are two (2) ways on how to reach Woodlands Waterfront park by public transportation.

  1. The closest station is at Woodlands North MRT station, take Exit 1 and walk for about 8 minutes to reach the main entrance of the park.
  2. The other way is riding Bus No. 856 at Woodlands Bus Interchange and alight after 9 stops at Before Woodlands Waterfront Park bus stop.

Private Vehicle or Taxi

  • Inform the driver that you are heading to Woodlands Waterfront Park, which is located at Admiralty Road West.

  • Early Morning
    Visiting in the early morning are ideal for some peaceful walks and jogs around the park. The weather is cooler in the early morning, and you’ll avoid the midday heat and humidity.

    The park tends to be less crowded during weekdays, especially in the early morning or late afternoon. Visitors who wants to have quieter and peaceful experience avoiding the weekend crowds.

Woodlands Waterfront Park has a wide range of amenities and activities that every visitor can do. This includes; Jetty, Promenade, Fitness Station, Playground, Event Area, Car Park, and Public Toilet.

Stroll at Waterfront Jetty

L-Shaped Jetty at Woodlands Waterfront Park

Woodlands Waterfront Jetty is located directly opposite the city-center of Johor Bahru. When visiting the park, most of the visitors of the park will usually walk along this 400m jetty and take a glimpse of the perfect sunset. A jetty is a place for people who are interested in fishing and dining at the Rasa Istimewa restaurant. From here visitors can enjoy the sea breeze while witnessing the skyscraper buildings of Johor.

Visit the Promenade

The park has a promenade where you can take a stroll, walk or even jog along the coastal park. It is around 700m distance promenade which on the side you can witness the panoramic view of the Straits of Johor. At the very end of the promenade are the Singapore border customs and the causeway heading to Johor Bahru Malaysia. From here you can take a walk to Marsiling Park using the Marsiling Park Connector.

Fitness stations at Woodlands Waterfront Park offer a great opportunity for outdoor exercise while enjoying the park’s scenic environment. Like most of the Singapore Parks, there is a fitness corner where every visitor can perform a full-body workout. After a short jog or run within the park, most visitors will continue to perform and exercise on the fitness corner.

Spend Time with Children Playground

There is also a children’s playground inside the Woodlands Waterfront Park to accommodate toddlers and young children to play around. There are several playground equipment where each toddler can play. This includes the swing, slides, snake/coil climbers, and spring bouncers.

Just beside the children’s playground is the so-called adult playground where there are Sky Cabins and Sky Bridges. These elevated walkways are accessible to young children and even adults who wish to try to walk.

Woodlands Waterfront Park features an event area designed to accommodate various outdoor activities and gatherings. This space is versatile and can be used for community events, private functions, and recreational activities. The park has an event area where is quite spacious. It usually held events such as Zumba fitness class every weekend.

Woodlands waterfront park has only one (1) toilet which is situated behind the main entrance of the par and right beside the spacious event area. The toilet is also open 24hrs daily. Just outside the toilet, there are vending machines that sell cold drinks such as green tea, lemon tea, isotonic drinks, and juice.

There is only one restaurant situated in the Woodlands Waterfront jetty – Rasa Istimewa. Rasa Istimewa Restaurant is a popular dining establishment known for its halal cuisine, particularly its selection of local and Malay dishes. The restaurant serves various seafood, like steamed fish, cereal prawns, salted crab, and BBQ satay. They also serve stir-fried vegetables, noodles, mixed of Western delights, and famous ice Kacang as dessert. cuisine.

  • The restaurant is open daily from 12:00 PM until 11:30 PM. Visitors can make reservation through website.

Woodlands Waterfront Park has a large car park for motorists and motorcyclists. The car park is located just beside the main entrance of the park. Car park is open daily with free parking from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM, and from 8:30 AM to 6:30 AM the next day will be at S$0.60/30min. On the main entrance of the car park, there is a NETS top-up kiosk, in case you need to top up, register, or check your balance.

As mentioned earlier the park is a good place to catch the perfect sunset. If you intend to visit the park, it is recommended to go there in the late afternoon where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the sunset on the straits of Johor. It is a stunning view and very worth going out of the place. Some visitors have managed to extend their park exploration through the Admiralty Park connector which is located just beside the bus stop.

At the end of the park near the Woodlands Checkpoint there is a park connector to Marsiling Park. If you want to continue and explore Marsiling Park, it is a 15 minutes walk from the park which is located at Woodlands Centre Road.

Woodlands Waterfront Park also have access to Admiralty Park located on the opposite road on the main entrance of the park.  There is small path that leads to Admiralty park passing through its nature park.

Overall Woodlands Waterfront Park Singapore is a very good place to spend quality time with family and friends. The park is clean where visitors can witness the breathtaking views of the Johor Strait. It has some recreational shelters along the scenic trail which is ideal as you feel close to nature. We observed that most of the visitors are there for small picnics, fishing, jogging, and cycling. The park is must visit place if you happen to visit the Woodlands area, here you will truly experience a relaxing walk and quiet escape from urban life.
